• Using a slime activator is necessary to create and maintain the chemical reaction that results in slime
• Before playing with your slime, carefully touch it to test if it is sticky
• If it is sticky add tiny amounts (drops) of slime activator at a time
• BE CAREFUL: slime can get overactivated quickly

Slime likes...

• cool temperatures because it will keep it nice and non-sticky.
• clean hands because they will keep it clean and germ-free.
• to be stored in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out.
• small amounts of activator every now and then.

Slime doesn’t like...

• warm temperatures because it will make it sticky.
• dirty hands because they will make it dirty and germy
• fabric of any kind because it will stick to it
• to be left outside of its container for too long because it will cause it to dry out

Help, my slime is sticky!

• As the chemical reaction that results in slime weakens, it causes your slime to become sticky or even liquifed (this is called “underactivated” slime).
• EASY FIX: Re-activate your slime by adding small amounts of activator and kneading it in until the desired slime texture is achieved.
• CAUTION: Only add small amounts of activator at a time to prevent your slime from getting overactivated and therefore hard and stiff.

Help, my slime is stiff!

• Your slime can become hard and stiff by adding too much activator.
• Three EASY FIX options:
• Knead in PVA glue (e.g. Elmer’s Glue)
• Knead in some lotion or baby oil (not recommended for clear slime)
• Knead in some warm water until your slime is nice and soft again

Help, my slime is not clear anymore!

• Clear slime normally becomes cloudy and bubbly after playing with it
• EASY FIX: Simply give your slime some rest and don’t touch it for a couple of hours/days (depending on the amount of bubbles). This process can be sped up by keeping your slime in a warm place.

Help, I left my slime out overnight and it turned hard!

• Depending on how hard your slime is you might be able to rescue it by adding  warm water, lotion, or baby oil (see “Help, my slime is stiff” section).
• If all of that doesn’t work you will have to say goodbye to your slime :(

Help, my slime got in contact with fabric and sticks to it!

• EASY FIX: Since slime is water-soluble it can easily be removed from fabric by washing it in your washing machine or carefully rubbing it out with a wet cloth.

Warnings

• DO not eat slime! (in case of ingestion call the American Association of Poison Control at +1 800-222-1222)
• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and nose. In case of contact wash thoroughly with water!
• Keep away from clothes, carpet, furniture, pets, and hair!
• Do not use if you have a wound, swelling or eczema on your hands or arms!
• Do not use if you show symptoms such as a rash or itchiness after playing with slime!
• Always wash your hands before and after handling slime!
